Buckingham Palace, and the Tube. Even those slightly unnerved by heights
should check out the London Eye. At 12 pounds a person, it's certainly
not an economical ride, but the views are well worth it. Bring along
your camera.

Tower of London is a fantastic trip into the not-so-pleasant past of
this wonderful city.
Buckingham
Palace is one of those "just to say you've been there" sites -
arrive two hours early if you want to see the changing of the guard.

Fun places to visit
include St. James park with its gazebo, fountains and music
concerts. Near Buckingham Palace is a wonderful carriage cafe
serving strawberries and cream! Other fun places to visit
include St. Paul's Cathedral, Kensington Palace, Covent Garden,
Natural History Museum, and the British Museum.
Herrod's department
store with its trendy merchandise and trademark green and gold bags is
posh. The children's department is like a wonderful fairyland
place that merits a visit.
The Tube is an
economical, safe, and easy way to get around. It's much easier to
navigate than the bus system, and is nearly idiot-proof. But
having said that, riding the double decker red bus is a must; just be
prepared to jump off and on at a moments notice!
Taking a tour of the
English countryside is also a good idea in clear weather.
Cottages and flowering vines add to its natural beauty.
