Getting around Romania via Train is very inexpensive and efficient.  When possible try to travel in Intercity or Accelerate as they are the fastest way to get from city to city.

Within Bucharest, you have a choice from taxis, maxi-taxi's, the bus, the Trolley-bus, Trams, and a very good Metro system, all of them are very inexpensive compared to western modes of transportation. 

The most modern of all cities in Romania, Bucharest has become a very international city.  The Romanian people are fantastic in every possible way and for the most part everyone in Romania speaks English, Spanish, French and German and a host of other languages. So if you had any worries about communicating with the people in Romania, put them to rest as your trip will only be enhanced by the wonderful multilingual country.
